Journal of Islamic Contemporary Accounting and Business (JICAB)

The Editorial Board of the Journal of Islamic Contemporary Accounting and Business (JICAB) invites researchers, academicians, and practitioners to submit their original, unpublished research papers for our upcoming editions in 2026 and 2027.

JICAB is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to exploring the intersection of Islamic principles and contemporary developments in Islamic accounting, finance, and business management.

Submission deadlines:

Vol. 4, No. 2: September 2026 Submission deadline May 31, 2026

Vol. 5, No. 1: March 2027 Submission deadline December 31, 2026

Scope of Interest

We welcome submissions that provide innovative insights into (but not limited to) the following areas:

  1. Islamic Accounting: Sharia Auditing, Islamic Financial Reporting, and Zakat/Waqf Accounting.
  2. Islamic Banking & Finance: Sharia Compliance, Islamic Capital Markets, and Fintech in Islamic Finance.
  3. Contemporary Business: Halal Industry Management, Islamic Entrepreneurship, and Sharia Marketing.
  4. Ethics & Governance: Corporate Governance in Islamic Institutions and Social Responsibility (ISR).
  5. Public Policy: Macro-economic perspectives on Islamic Social Finance.

 

Submission Guidelines

  1. Originality: Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration by any other journal.
  2. Language: All papers must be written in English.
  3. Format: Submissions should follow the JICAB template regarding layout, citation style (APA/Harvard), and word count.
  4. Peer Review: All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer-review process to ensure high academic standards.
