الملخص

The term euthanasia originally came from the Greek, eu (kindness) and thanatos (death).
In the Dorlands Medical Dictionary, euthanasia has two meanings: First, an easy or painless
death. Second, killing with generosity; the careful and deliberate termination of the life of
a person suffering from an incurable and very painful disease. According to the same
dictionary, death itself is a permanent cessation of life from all vital functions of the body.
For legal and medical purposes, the definition of death6 and its limitations have been made.
This presentation will emphasize more critical aspects of the study of Islamic law in
responding to contemporary fiqh questions when faced with the development of science
and medical ethics (bioethics).
